Measures to Improve the Efficiency of Rotary Dryer

Drying operation is an important part of the cement dry process. Especially for cement plants with high raw materials and high moisture, drying equipment drying equipment is required.

At present, common rotary dryers generally have problems such as low drying efficiency, high heat consumption, and difficulty in controlling the discharge moisture, which seriously affects the normal operation of the raw meal system. Therefore, improving the efficiency of the rotary dryer has become a matter of great concern to both users and ZK CORP. Let's take a look at the ways to improve the efficiency of the rotary dryer.

First, check whether the dryer leaks during the drying process

Whether the dryer leaks during the drying process is a guarantee of the drying efficiency, and the leakage of the dryer can greatly reduce the efficiency of the dryer. The user should perform the dryer air leakage detection before starting the drying operation. If the air leakage occurs, the user should immediately stop the repair to minimize the loss.

1. Use chicken feathers or matches. During the inspection, the air leakage from the welding equipment can be used. The chicken feathers can be placed close to the inspection. If there is air leakage, it will be adsorbed on the surface of the equipment.

2.  light the match and move closer to the surface of the device. The place where there is air leakage will be discovered soon. Larger air leaks can be judged from the squeaking noise.

3. Touch the water by hand. Negative pressure air leakage is the wind flowing from the outside into the system. The hand is close to the wall and the surface of the equipment. If there is air leakage, there is a feeling of being sucked by the cool air. Because the handle is damp, the air leakage is easier to feel.

Second, increase the temperature of the dryer only drying medium

Within the allowable range of the barrel, increasing the inlet temperature of the drying medium can effectively increase the drying rate and reduce waste heat loss.

Third, increase the flow rate of the drying medium

The flow rate of the drying medium is increased, and the drying rate is increased. The replacement of the drying medium in time is beneficial to the out-diffusion process. While increasing the flow rate of the medium, the length of the dryer cylinder can be appropriately increased.

Fourth, improve the internal structure of the dryer cylinder, using modular type

In the dryer body, the heat transfer and mass transfer processes are the convection factors of the medium. In order to increase the contact area between the material and the drying medium and extend the contact time, an anti-feeding device should be installed in the cylinder body.

Fifth, reduce the feed size

The greater the contact area between the material and the drying medium, the better the drying effect, and the smaller the particle size of the material, the better the drying efficiency in the lower drying stage. The feed particle size is generally less than 20 mm.

Sixth, try to adopt a downstream process layout

There are two types of rotary dryers: Downstream and reverse. The total drying speed of the downstream dryer is higher and the quality is higher. The discharge temperature of the downstream dryer is always lower than the exhaust gas temperature. Avoid high temperature material lose activity. The counterflow dryer is completely opposite to the downstream dryer.

Seven, using stepless speed motor

The use of stepless speed motor, by adjusting the speed of the dryer to regulate the material in the dryer's residence time, to ensure the quality of drying.

In summary, the enhanced drying rate is the main factor to improve the efficiency of the dryer. The drying efficiency of the drying machine, the conditions of the drying medium, the internal structure of the dryer, the type of the material and the material, the particle size, the structure and the nature of the water content are related. Therefore, for an actual drying process, these factors should be comprehensively considered and targeted for improvement in order to receive good results.
