Jiangsu Waste Incineration Project

Jiangsu Waste Incineration Project

Project Overview

This project utilizes a rotary kiln and secondary combustion chamber to incinerate garbage and solid waste. Dioxins in the flue gas are eliminated at a high temperature of 1100°C in the secondary combustion chamber at the kiln's rear end, ensuring that exhaust emissions meet standards. The project supply contract was signed in May 2017, and installation and commissioning were completed in January 2018. Henan Zhengzhou Mining Machinery Co., Ltd. completed the design, manufacture, installation, and commissioning of the rotary kiln and secondary combustion chamber equipment.

Project Solution

This project utilizes a rotary kiln and secondary combustion chamber system for the incineration of garbage and solid waste, as well as the treatment of hazardous waste gases. This unique and effective solution provides excellent results. The thermal and technical parameters of the main equipment and the treatment process are as follows:

1. Main Equipment Parameters

Rotary Kiln:

Kiln Body Specifications: Φ2200X18000mm

Equipment Inclination: 3:100

Kiln Body Material: Q345R

Rotary Kiln Operating Temperature: 600°C-700°C

Secondary Combustion Chamber:

Secondary Combustion Chamber Material: Q345

Secondary Combustion Chamber Operating Temperature: 1100°C

2. Process Flow

The rotary kiln feed port is equipped with a pusher mechanism to ensure continuous feeding. Solid (hazardous) waste is fed into the rotary kiln through the feed mechanism, where it is incinerated into high-temperature flue gas and ash. The ash enters the slag discharger at the kiln head and is regularly transported to the stabilization/solidification workshop for treatment. The rotary kiln's outlet temperature is 800-850°C. After the flue gas enters the secondary combustion chamber, secondary air is injected tangentially around it, creating a strong vortex field within the chamber, ensuring the complete combustion of the combustible components in the flue gas. The unique structural design of the secondary combustion chamber also enables it to function as a cyclonic dust removal system. The flue gas at the secondary combustion chamber outlet exceeds 1100°C, and the flue gas resides in the high-temperature zone for more than 2 seconds, ensuring the complete decomposition of harmful components in the flue gas, including dioxins, and meeting the requirements for hazardous waste incineration.

The rotary kiln maintains a stable slag layer approximately 50mm thick, which protects the refractory layer.
