1. FoundationConstruction

Before installing therotary kiln, the required basic conditions should be determined and theconstruction should be carried out according to the construction drawingsdesigned by our company or design organization. After the foundationconstruction of the rotary kiln is completed, the surveyor should be asked toreview the foundation. If the actual error exceeds the design allowable error,it shall be corrected in time. It should be especially noted that as alarge-scale equipment, the size of the kiln body and supporting device of therotary kiln is large. Before installation, there should be no obstacles such asfactory buildings above the equipment foundation. In the meantime, sufficientspace must be reserved around the foundation for lifting the kiln body.

2. Determine theinstallation location

After the foundation ofthe rotary kiln is completely completed, the installer enters the field andretests the foundation, determines the centerline position of the rotary kilnaccording to the retest results, and then uses this as a reference to determinethe precise position of each supporting device.

3. Installation of supporting device

After confirming the installation position, theinstaller must first put the main supporting device of the rotary kiln in placeand fix it with anchor bolts. Make sure that the supporting device is flat andfirmly fixed on the equipment foundation and can bear the load of the kilnbody.

4. Kiln body installation

After the rotary kiln support device isinstalled in place, installation of the kiln body can begin. The length of asection of kiln body is about 10m, the actual length will vary according to themodel of rotary kiln and the position of the supporting device. According tothe length and diameter of the kiln body, different lifting equipment will beselected for installation. Sometimes multiple lifting equipment will be used tohoist a section of kiln body at the same time, so sufficient space must bereserved around the foundation of the rotary kiln to use. During theinstallation of the kiln body, the position of the wheel belt can be fine-tunedaccording to the actual position of the support device to compensate for theerrors between the individual foundations during the civil constructionprocess.

5.Installation and sealing of Cover

After the installation of the kiln body iscompleted, the installation of the rotary kiln head, kiln tail and cover body,and the installation of the gear cover in the transmission device can becarried out. These covers can make the rotary kiln have better air tightness,and at the same time can ensure that the environment is clean and comfortableduring the normal operation of the equipment.

6. Kiln lining

In general, rotary kilns with highertemperatures are required to have kiln lining, which can prevent the kiln bodyfrom dissipating heat too fast, and can prevent the main part of the rotarykiln from being damaged due to excessive temperature. Usually the refractorymaterials of the main part of the kiln are refractory bricks and refractorycastables. According to the temperature of the rotary kiln, differentrefractory materials are selected for masonry or pouring.

7. Installation of accessory parts

The fuel of the rotary kiln can be variouspowders, liquids, and gases with high calorific value. Different burners can beinstalled according to different fuels. At the same time, according to theneeds of the calcination process, infrared temperature detectors, infraredimagers, thermocouples, pressure transmitters, kiln body infrared scanners andother devices can be installed at the kiln head and tail of the rotary kiln.

8. Secondary grouting

After the main body and accessory parts of therotary kiln are completely installed, the rotary kiln should be leveled andcalibrated again, the errors generated during the installation process shouldbe calibrated again, and then the equipment should be grouted again tocompletely fix it. After the second grouting maintenance is completed, theinstallation of the equipment is completely completed and can be put intooperation.
