Brief process description of flash drying system

The magnesite ore concentrates from the flotation process with a moisture content of ≤15% is sent to the feeding silo by a forklift. It is then conveyed by the belt weigher and inclined belt conveyor under the hopper, into the shaftless screw feeder, and finally, conveys the material into the flash dryer.


Inise the flash dryer, the hot flue gas from the dynamic suspension calcination system at around 430-480℃ encounters the raw material crushed by the dispersing blades, which is quickly dispersed and undergoes heat exchange. The heat-exchanged flotation magnesite instantly loses its surface water and becomes dry powder, which, along with the water vapor and hot air generated during drying, enters the cyclone separator of the No.4 drying cyclone (2.06). After separation by the cyclone separator (2.06), the dry powder enters the calcination system through an electric discharge valve for primary preheating.



The waste gas and a small amount of dry powder discharged from the (2.06) cyclone separator enter the (2.07) pulse bag filter. The dry powder filtered by the (2.07) bag filter passes through the electric discharge valve of the  (2.07) pulse bag filter and the screw conveyor before entering the (2.14) main and auxiliary dynamic suspension furnaces for calcination. Water vapor, waste gas, and trace dust are discharged into the atmosphere through the (2.08) exhaust fan of the drying system and the clean gas emission to the atmosphere by (2.09) Exhaust stack.
