The dustremoval mechanism of the cyclone dust collector is to use the impulse to reducethe momentum of the dust in the dust-containing gas and make it close to 0 toachieve the purpose of dust removal.
Thedust-containing airflow enters the cyclone body from the tangential inlet ofthe cyclone at a certain speed (the inlet wind speed is 12-18m / s), and theairflow changes from linear motion to circular motion. It spirals downwards anddescends while rotating until it reaches the lowest part so that the momentumof the dust is close to 0. The dust-containing airflow generates centrifugalforce during the rotation, and throws the dust particles that are heavier thanthe gas toward the wall. Once the dust particles come into contact with thewall, they lose the inertial force and fall along the wall surface by themomentum of the inlet velocity and the downward gravity, and enter the ashdischarge pipe. When the externally swirling airflow that rotates and descendsreaches the cone, it closes to the center of the dust collector due to theconical contraction.
According tothe principle of constant "Rotational Moment", its tangential speedis constantly increasing. When the airflow reaches a certain position on thelower end of the cone, it is reversed from the middle of the cyclone in thesame direction of rotation, from the bottom to the top, and continues to make aspiral flow to form a cyclonic airflow.
The cyclonedust collector is mainly composed of an outer cylinder with a conical bottom,an air intake pipe, an exhaust pipe (inner cylinder), an ash discharge port, astar-shaped discharger, etc. The exhaust pipe is inserted into the center ofthe top of the outer cylinder, and the intake pipe is tangentially connected tothe outer cylinder. Cyclone dust collectors generally use negative pressureoperation.
Features of Cyclone Dust Collector:
1. Simplestructure, convenient installation and maintenance.
2. Lowequipment investment and operating costs.
3. It can beused for the purification of high-temperature flue gas. The high-temperatureand corrosion-resistant special metal or ceramic material cyclone dustcollector is used, and the temperature can be used up to 1000 ℃.
4. With highdust removal efficiency and wide application range, it can be used individuallyor in parallel.
Factors affecting the performance of cyclonedust collector:
1. Inletwind speed:
The inletwind speed has a great influence on resistance and dust removal efficiency. From the point of view of reducing resistance, it is hoped that the inlet windspeed is lower; from the perspective of improving the treatment air volume andefficiency, the inlet wind speed is better. But when the inlet wind speedexceeds a certain limit, the resistance increases sharply, and the efficiencyincreases little. The optimal inlet wind speed varies depending on thestructure of the dust collector and the temperature of the processing gas.
2. Gastemperature:
Differentgas temperatures will cause the specific gravity and viscosity coefficient ofthe gas to change. When the temperature increases, the relative density of thegas decreases, but the viscosity coefficient increases. When the relativedensity is reduced, the resistance is reduced; while the viscosity coefficientis increased, the dust particle sedimentation speed is reduced, resulting inreduced efficiency. Therefore, a higher value of inlet wind speed should beselected when handling high-temperature gas.
3. Gashumidity:
When thehumidity of the gas is above the dew point, it will have little effect on thedust collector's operation; if it is below the dew point, condensation waterdroplets will be generated and the dust will stick to the wall. Therefore, thetemperature of the gas must be higher than the dew point by 20 ~ 25 ℃.
4. Relativedensity and particle size of dust:
The relative density and particle size of dusthave little effect on resistance, but have a great influence on efficiency. When the relative density of the dust is large and the particle size is coarse, various dust collectors can obtain higher efficiency; while when the relativedensity of the dust is small and the particle size is fine, the dust removalefficiency is greatly reduced.
5.Dust-containing gas concentration:
When the gasdust concentration is high, the purification efficiency is generally high. Atthis time, as the friction loss of dust particles increases, the rotationalspeed of the airflow decreases, and the resistance also tends to decrease.Cyclone dust collector is suitable for purifying high-concentration gas orfirst-level purification.
6. Airleakage:
When thecyclone dust collector leaks air, especially when passing through the ashhopper and the ash discharge valve in the lower part of the dust collector, itsefficiency will drop sharply. When the air leakage rate is 5%, the purificationefficiency will be reduced from 90% to 50%; when the air leakage rate is 15%,the efficiency will drop to 0. In order to prevent air leakage and obtain ahigher dust removal efficiency, the cyclone dust collector uses a star-shapeddischarger as the dust discharge valve, which continuously discharges the dustand ensures that the dust removal system is synchronized.
