1. Product Use and Features
The PQ50 disc granulator is used to process Bentonite /dolomite powder and seaweed powder into spherical pellets. This model features uniform pelletizing size, adjustable inclination angle, low energy consumption, and easy operation and maintenance.
2. Working Principle
The motor drives the disc to rotate through a belt drive, reducer, bridge device, and slewing bearing. The raw material powder is pre-mixed with water to achieve uniform moisture, then fed into the disc. As the disc rotates, the raw material powder gradually forms into spherical pellets by tumbling inside the disc. Once the pellets reach the predetermined diameter, they are discharged out of the disc and conveyed to the next process.

4. Main Component Structural Characteristics
The disc granulator mainly consists of the frame, drive unit, bridge device, slewing bearing, disc body, scraper support, scraper device, etc. Its structural characteristics are as follows:
(1) Disc Body: Made of Q235B steel. The disc bottom is reinforced with multiple radial steel plates, providing high strength and rigidity. For convenient shipment, the disc body is divided into three parts, which are connected by bolts.
(2) Bridge Device: The main shaft is made of 40Cr steel, quenched and tempered, with a hardness not lower than 210 HB. The pinion gear is made of 40Cr steel, also quenched and tempered throughout, with a hardness not lower than 210 HB, and the gear teeth are induction hardened to HRC 50±5.
(3) Slewing Ring: The rotation of the disc body adopts a slewing ring structure. The slewing ring gear has a hardness of HRC 55±5, providing stable structure and long service life.
(4) Scraper Device: Equipped with two sets of powered disc bottom scrapers and one set of unpowered disc sidewall scraper. The scraper support is made of Q235B steel. The blade of the disc sidewall scraper and the tip of the disc bottom scraper shall be wear-resistant, with a hardness not lower than 55 HRC.
(5) Frame: The frame is made of Q235B steel, welded from structural steel sections and steel plates. After welding, the main mating surfaces are integrally machined, effectively ensuring the assembly precision of the entire machine and improving its operational reliability.
