Project Introduction
Henan Zhengzhou Mining Machinery Co.,Ltd. successfully assisted a Southeast Asian customer in completing the upgrade and transformation of a rotary kiln fuel system. The customer’s existing rotary kiln system is primarily used for the production of lightweight expanded aggregate and has been in operation for over ten years, previously using diesel as the main fuel. With the accelerated transformation of the global energy structure, in response to the call for energy conservation and emission reduction, as well as to achieve the comprehensive production goals of saving energy, increasing output, and reducing operating costs, the customer decided to retrofit this rotary kiln and equip it with a new natural gas burner to optimize energy consumption and enhance overall economic benefits.
Project Solution
Facing the customer’s production needs, Henan Zhengzhou Mining Machinery Co.,Ltd. responded quickly and provided a targeted technical solution relying on rich industry experience. Our technical team conducted an in-depth study of the core process parameters in the customer’s existing production system, such as kiln type specifications, air volume matching, and air temperature requirements. Combined with the actual production data accumulated by the customer, rigorous thermal calculations were performed. Through scientific simulation and deduction, the combustion capacity required for the newly equipped natural gas burner was accurately calculated, and precise parameter requirements were proposed for key indicators such as flame length, shape, and rigidity. This ensured that the new equipment could perfectly adapt to the existing rotary kiln, laying a solid data foundation for subsequent equipment customization and manufacturing.
Project Implementation
In the project implementation phase, Henan Zhengzhou Mining Machinery Co.,Ltd. tailor-made and provided a complete multi-channel natural gas burner system for this project. The system features a well-configured, safe, and stable operation, mainly including the following core components:
1. Primary Air System: Equipped with two variable-frequency Roots blowers adopting a “one in use, one on standby” design to stably provide primary air and ensure continuous and efficient system operation.
2. Pipeline Flexible Connections: High-quality natural gas metal hoses, combustion air rubber hoses, and dedicated ignition metal hoses are selected to ensure pipeline safety and excellent airtightness.
3. Ignition Control System: Equipped with advanced ignition rods and ignition transformers to ensure a fast, safe, and reliable ignition process.
4. Traveling Mechanism: Configured with a motor-driven burner trolley and matching ground rails, facilitating flexible entry and exit, precise positioning, and daily maintenance of the burner.
5. Natural Gas Regulation and Control: A customized natural gas regulating valve group (with inlet pressure set at 300kPa and outlet pressure controlled at 8-12kPa) and a supporting valve control system are provided to achieve precise regulation of natural gas flow and safety interlock control.
